Class Descriptions

MIGHTY TOTS (Ages 18 mos - 3)

Our Mighty TOTS educational classes enable your child to discover the fun of movement in all areas of the gym. Parents assist and participate with their child in circuits and stations while Gross Motor Developmental Skills are taught; climbing, hopping, jumping, sliding and running. Beginning social skills are also introduced at this stage of development; learning to listen, follow directions, sharing and take turns along with other children. Class activities include; Intro to Beam Bars, Kidz Circuit Area, Parachute & Play Tumble Trak

(45 min - 1 class per week with parent)

 

MINI MARVELS (Ages 3-4)

Watch your child flourish! These "All by myself" fun and positive gymnastics circuit classes reinforce activities learned that promote coordination, strength, and flexibility, the fundamentals of gymnastics! Children at this age learn additional social skills; respect, patience, self control and playing with others. Children are more physical at this age and they begin developing their concentration and sequential memorization skills. Class activities include; walking the Obstacle Courses, Trampoline, Tumble Trak and so much more!!

(45 min - 1 class per week)

 

All Pre-school lesson plans are presented in a positive environment and are developed in advance and in cooperation with the USAG teaching standardization programs.

KIDPOSSIBLES (Ages 5-6)

School aged kids need fitness and fun!!! These recreational classes include progressively challenged events and activities from the beginner to the experienced gymnast. All of the repetition of previous learned skills finally looks like gymnastics now. Children at this stage fine tune their hand-eye coordination and their strengths are realized. Class activities include; Competitive Trampoline, Junior Olympic Equipment, Tumble Trak,

(45 min - 1 class per week)

Boys & Girls General Gymnastics (Ages 5 - 8, 9 & Up)

Children here are grouped by physical ability, mental & social development and are placed in classes best suited for their own needs. Children advance from beginners to the intermediate level after obtaining proficiency in all skills. Intermediate and advanced programs are designed for the enthusiast! Children are challenged to progress individually increasing their skills and appreciation, while developing confidence and self-esteem. Children excelling in our general programs are invited to the PRE-TEAM/TEAM after meeting all USAG skill proficiency requirements.

(Beginning - 1 hour class per week, Intermediate 1 ½ hour class per week, Advanced 2 hour class per week)

Women's Olympic Events - Vault, Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, Floor. Men's Olympic Events - Vault, Floor, Rings, Pommel Horse, Parallel & High Bar

CHEERNASTICS (Ages 5 & Up)

A class designed for the cheerleaders seeking advanced tumbling skills for their teams!! Both the one hour and one and a half hour classes have Curriculum designed to introduce and teach cartwheels, round offs/round off back hand springs, standing back hand springs, back tucks, etc. Class activities Include; Competitive Trampolines, Tumble Trak & Floor

Dance & Dance & Tumble   

Dance classes include preschool ballet (pre-ballet/creative movement) and Dance & Tumble classes combine the preschool ballet and gymnastics fundamentals. Students are introduced to the basics of ballet and creative movement in an age appropriate format. Classes are designed to encourage cognitive and kinetic awareness in a creative fun and friendly atmosphere.

Dance & Tumble - 45 min – (1/2 Dance, 1/2 Gymnastics)
1 class per week

Dance - 1 Hour – 1 Class per Week

Adult Classes

Adult classes are designed for those participants who want to "FLIP-OUT" for fun! Adults can enjoy activities tailored to increase strength, promote flexibility and enhance balance. Perfect for Mom's wanting to stay in shape, high school cheerleaders & dancers and ANY sports enthusiast!! For participants 16 years or older.

Instructor/Student Ratio 8:1 Ages 3-5, 10:1 Ages 6 & Up
Class sizes are limited per instructor and children are grouped according by age.

All classes are taught in a non-competitive atmosphere
